RPL Week 18: Scores & Highlights

Week 18 of the RPL saw the nation’s two biggest sides clash in “El Klassikov”, as Zenit defeated Spartak 1-0 despite Magomed Ozdoev’s red card early in the second half.

Elsewhere in the league, more shock arose as Dinamo defeated Loko to continue their resurgence under Kirill Novikov. Krasnodar and CSKA Moscow likewise dropped points against Arsenal and Tambov respectively & Rostov drew at home to Ural Ekaterinburg - meaning the only side in the top six to get three points were league leaders Zenit.

Sochi remains rooted to the foot of the table after their match with Orenburg was postponed by force majeure after the home side applied for a postponement after being unable to field a sufficiently strong enough eleven after their playing squad was decimated by a bout of tonsilitis.
