After their Champions League triumph during the week, Rostov are riding a large wave heading straight for western Europe. Complacency is a worry for their fixture in Gronzy this weekend but I wouldn’t expect it to overwhelm them. They’re a united squad and very much want to carry this momentum - both domestically and continentally.
Bet Two: €10 Zenit - Amkar: Zenit to win, and both teams to score @4 at Bet365
On paper, this bet might seem odd. Zenit, who seem to have started this season under a speed limit, have three draws and one victory to their name after four games. Amkar on the other hand sit 2nd - two wins, two draws, zero conceded.
But Zenit have kicked on in recent weeks and are certainly picking up the pace. How long that will take - no one knows. However, Amkar will visit the Petrovsky knowing that they could sneak three points out of this game; Zenit will be wanting to go into the international break on the back of a victory.
Bet Three: €5 Krasnodar - Lokomotiv: Krasnodar to win with two goals @5 at Bet365
After a polished start to the season, Krasnodar have slipped off in their past couple of games. They first drew with Krylia on match day three before defeat to Spartak last weekend.
Though don’t let those facts distract you from the team they have - both on and off the field. If there is a chance for Krasnodar to be kings of Russia, there won’t be a better chance than this season.
Lokomotiv are currently content on drawing with anyone and everyone. They are far from the unit they have become known for over the past couple of season; this is a team trying to find it’s new identify. Whilst they scrap for anything they can get, Lokomotiv will be facing a team on Sunday licking their lips at the thought of pouring more salt in the Railroaders wounds.
