Bet One: €5 Spartak - Amkar: Quincy Promes to score anytime @2.5 at Bet365
Leading the goalscoring charts with 10 goals, Promes is the leagues most lethal striker. He’s been the game deadlock in four of those games too, so starting slow isn’t a problem for the Holland international. He also scored two in the reverse fixture of this match.
Though Spartak have been far from consistent this term, Promes continues to be a dangerous threat and with his expansive shooting ability, he could score the opener from anywhere.
Bet Two: €10 Rostov - CSKA: Draw @3.4 at Bet365
When this fixture appeared early last summer, not many expected this to 1st vs 2nd. But coming into the game, that’s exactly what this fixture is.
Being the home side, Rostov will feel like they may have an advantage. Though it will be interesting to see how protective they will be over their position. Will they go all out and risk being six points behind CSKA? Or do they go for the conservative approach and maintain a three point difference?
CSKA will be happy with a point, so I wouldn’t expect them to attack the home side. I also think Rostov will be looking to gain any points they can at the moment, and so a point will suit them too. Expect it to be a dull, cagey affair.
Bet Three: Zenit - Rubin: Rubin win @7.5 at Bet365
I’m going to stick my head out on the line for this one (a line you always want to be hearing when reading ‘betting tips’).
Zenit have been in ghastly form and with AvB’s tenure coming to an end very soon, it doesn’t look like either the players or staff are particularly bothered about giving the Portuguese a spectacular send off.
Their stubborn tactics mean that most teams know how to defend against them, and if Rubin do their match preparation correctly, they too could come away with a result from this game. Having lost one in their five, Rubin come into this game riding on a high.

Bet One: €10 Spartak - Amkar: Both teams to score @2.05 at Bet365
Amkar have had a solid pre-season and recently hammered Dinamo in the cup, but home advantage should haul Spartak over the line in Saturday’s mid-evening match. Dutch hitman Quincy Promes, who was called up to the Netherlands national side this week, is the league’s top scorer with ten goals this season and should be out looking to splay an Amkar defence that have soundly contributed to a goal difference of -5, the joint-fourth worst in the league. Amkar to a nick a goal in a 2-1 or 3-1 Spartak win is good value at 2.05.
Bet Two: €5 Lokomotiv - Ufa: Lokomotiv (-1) @2.30 at Bet365
Ufa have hemorrhaged goals this season and although Lokomotiv have been far from impressive themselves lately, a comfortable 2-0 home win is extremely tempting. Ufa have the second-worst goal difference in the league coupled with the fewest number of goals scored by any side with 17 in 18 games.
Bet Three: Zenit - Rubin: Draw at halftime, Zenit to win the game @3.75 at Bet365
A severe lack of goals for Zenit since the restart of football in Russia and on the continent - just two in four games - has polarized their pre-season form. Their last four games have been goalless at the break, with sides content to sit back and let them press from deep and the first half between the league’s fifth and ninth side’s respectively on Saturday should bring a cagey first half. Zenit are prone to coming on strong in the second half and reformed forward line of Kokorin, Hulk and Dzyuba may prove too much in the second stanza for Rubin.
