Moment of the Match: Tom’s disallowed goal. There was nothing wrong with the goal, no offside nor foul whatsoever. Has it been counted, Tom will be ahead and match will be more open to fast attacking display by Loko. Another poor refereeing, in Premier League after series of horrendous calls in the past few weeks.
Man of the Match: Hard to pick from a game where nobody really stands out and shines. But Ilie Cebanu should have been given praise for his effort, denying Lokomotiv’s few chances. Some might argue he is more fortunate rather than heroic, with most shots, especially N’Doye’s header is too near to him. But nonetheless a performance like this motivates your team forward.
Lokomotiv Verdict
Lokomotiv missed the chance to take all the points today. However they still leaped Spartak and took over the second place. To keep their unlikely dream of European and Championship dream Lokomotiv must stop dropping points against bottom club and start to get a consistent result. Away to Samara next, Loko need to gear up their attacking power in order to get the three points before international break.
Tom Verdict
An away draw today capped a good couple of weeks for them. Eight points from four match suddenly push them up from the left bottom. But against an in-form Zenit St. Petersburg at home, the Tomsk side does not look capable to carry on their good form. Nonetheless a precious point away from home against a sude that is now top.
